History
Our banks are the cornerstone of our communities. Our history is deeply rooted in the communities we do business. Citizens State Bank was chartered in 1881. Otoe County Bank, chartered on May 8, 1865, was one of the first banks in the nation chartered under the United States National Banking Act of 1864. We retained the Nebraska State charter and remain the oldest state bank in Nebraska.
